The IX-D Dynasty

If you are a student of this school you'd have no problem in finding our class. But if you're not.... here is a guide for you... ascend to the first floor... take a right turn and keep walking till you hit a wall-take left and advance to room number 21. There! You have reached your destination! You are standing at the entrance ot the notorious class of IX-D.

Iisten, my class folks consider me as an honest person. So, I Wouldn't try to tell you false things about my class. Our class is popularly known as the 'WORST SECTION OF CLASS IX,' and we seem to take great pride in it! So, I guess Ill spare the teachers-say-students-are-very-bad-they-disturb- the-class-don't- allow-to-teach-and-have -no- discipline' part.

Once you have reached the entrance, better take a peek inside our so called 'Worst Section' (ever since my entry in to the school, I was always promoted to the worst section of the class what a sad conincidence!). If there is no teacher - I can't guarantee your safety in IX-D. Better put on your armour before showing the courage to enter the battlefield of class IX-D. You will receive a warm welcome by a dozen of paper ball missiles. Paper airplanes may land on your nose and head. You would find things are being tossed and screams and fights taking place in every corner of the class.

Don't get frightened. Carefully dodge the warring soldiers and take cover beside me. Let me introduce you to our class teacher Rumela ma'am. She has a heart of gold, but don't try to be over smart - else she might pulverize you!

We the worst section pupils of IX-D are proud with Our affectionate and caring faculties who pamper us with their knowledge and love.

Allow me to introduce some of the IX-D jewels. l think you would be interested to meet our girls. [One should always begin with the girls, since they always deserve (claim?) more importancel] Let's begin with our class heroine Shreya, who is an awesome dramatist with exceptional vocal skills At every school play, you will find her on stage.

Second benchers Jogita and Anulekha, are the two Solitary Reapers, don't bother about their surroundings and often one will find them mumbling between themselves. Moreover quite often Jogita can be seen sleeping like a Medusa victim-that is to say, like a rock.

Meet our two constant first benchers, Satwiki and Ishita. They are studious folks. Though you may find Satwiki crack an occasional joke but with Ishita, it's an absolute no no. However, they are lively friends to have. Their common friend, Srijana, having a shattered luck, always finds herself in trouble.

Here comes our monitress, Anusha with Sreyoshi. They are extremely studious and know how to score marks. They are fast friends, and along with them are Krishita and Padmabati, both love dancing.

Would you like to meet some of our class heroes? Well, let's start with our new monitor, Ritwik. He is a studious one, but he is cool. His knowledge about soccer seems unmatchable.

Now turn to Avirup, an athlete engorged in some thought as he will be staring blankly at you with a tired expression on his face. We can see Soham and Amritam, taking the opportunity of Avirup's trance, stealing books from Abhirup's open bag and hiding them under their desks. But what they don't know is - Aditya is simultaneously taking out books from their bags and hiding them!

Now, let's have an audience with Snehargha, the music freak. he loves metallic songs, and is the best guitarist Ive ever seen. he will be on-stage on every musical performance, playing his Indonesian four- string. But don't mess with him! If you do not believe me just do that, and get bashed up by him. Try to listen, you will hear Subhojit and Rajarshi, discussing about music. Rajarshi the guitarist and Subhojit the synthesizer freak have passion for music. Studious Debatra, often lends a hand on synthesizer whenever asked for any school programme.

Mr. Cool Saswata always maintains a smile on his face. I've never seen him anxious, and never hope to see him even.

Oh! I missed someone special er ... Our ex-monitor, Arjun! He is one comic character and does everything in foolish ways. He tries, but ends up making nothing but a blunder! His passion is basketball, and he loves to get into a fight whenever he gets an opportunity!

There is another jewel in the class - Nabarun. He is an all time entertainer. He always succeeds to liven up our mo0ds and relieve us of any tension or griet. He's a great goal-keeper in our recess hour game.

Oh, let me introduce you to the two new entrants of IX-D - We heartily welcomed Smaranjit, a lively one and Anubhab, a solitary guy to our so called WORST SECTION.

Turning to the last bench, let me introduce our class comedian - Soumyadeep. He seems to take great pride in the fact that he can annoy teachers the most.

Sharnik is known as a constant trouble-maker.However, you should see his awesome dance moves. Along with Sharnik, is always found his 'noble kinsman' - Abhinav. He can be roaming around in the class room shouting to his two anonymous ghosts. He claims to have great experience in breaking test-tubes and has even proved that skill in the chemistry lab.

With these, you have come to the end of the visual tour of our class room. You might be wondering why I've not mentioned some of the guys and girls. Those are so called good boys and girls of our section, never involved in such acts that annoy the teachers. By now you must have conceived a fair conception about our class. Even if you are aware that the teacher of the next period is not going to come, never ever inform us beforehand! Else you might get crashed under a fan coming off from the ceiling, or discover yourself buried under an Overturned table, or something unimaginably worse might happen to you!

Still I feel that it is the 'Best Section of Class IX. Anyway, were you asking about me? I would suggest better you ask my friends... They too will not give you a false impression about me!

The natural disaster in Uttarakhand

The natural disaster in Uttarakhand "Disaster" had been merely a word for me in the pages of dictionary. On 15th June 2013, I was stunned and horrified with the news of the natural calamity that struck the ill fated state of Uttarakhand in North India. The recent natural calamity has shown us what actually a "Disaster" is. On that day there were cloud bursts in various areas of Uttarakhand. The torrential downpour in various parts of the hilly region washed down soil along with silt, sand, stone and boulders. The cloud burst caused enormous quantity of water to flow down the hilly slope and hilly springs joining the main river of the area, the Alakananda. As it is, even during normal time, hilly rivers flow at a high speed. Due to cloud bursts there are flash floods when enormous quantity of water tries to flow out in a short span of time. The speed of water flow increases to much more than the normal. The water level in the river gorge rises, carrying away silt, sa...

A True Friend

A True Friend A true friend is the one who stays beside us in both good and bad times. Ram and Sam are an example of such friends. They love each other, believe each other, and trust each other. They share food, joys and sorrows with each other. They are the perfect example of true friendship. They live in the same complex. Ram is very good in studies but not so good in sports and other activities.Whereas, Sam is not at all a good student but he is extraordinary in sports and other activities especially in social activities. But studies and games never became a barrier between them. Their families have a strong bond between them.Gradually Ram's father and Sam's father also became friends and similarly Ram's mother and Sam's mother became friends too. They go together to watch movies, go for outings together and even for long tours. Once, an incident happened. Sam's father suddenly died due to a heart attack. That time Sam and his mother were going through a very tou...
